My hubby, Grayson, & I moved south about four years ago.
My pal and I both grew up in the north, so my associate and I did not entirely know what my associate and I were getting ourselves into, then there are definitely pros & cons of both, although I miss the weather up north the most.
The people here are really kind, & I entirely cherish the southern hospitality, however it is just the humidity that I entirely do not like! Humidity is not fun at all. I can deal with the heat most of the time, however the humidity always gets me. My pal and I have a/c in our house that works really well, however it does not reach the laundry room or upstairs bathroom really well. It gets really humid in those two rooms, & I spend quite a bit of time in the laundry room. I really just close off the upstairs bathroom during the summer time months because of how humid it gets in there, although I cannot do that with the laundry room of course. The dryer does not help with the humidity, so I decided to buy a dehumidifier last year just to see if it would help. It definitely collects a lot of moisture out of the air because I empty it every single afternoon, & it is full of water. I just cannot entirely feel the effects of it. It still feels humid in there. I guess I will just have to live with having a humid laundry room for now. My hubby said that he may be able to run some modern Heating & A/C vents into the laundry room to help cool it down, although he just has not had the time to do it yet.
