Brother went to specialized Heating and Air Conditioning school for research facilities

When I was growing up my parents had certain expectations for us that were…

difficult to satisfy.

Because both of my parents were seriously high functioning academic humans, they expected their children to be the same way. It was invalid if any of us failed a test, got a C on our report card, or desired to play on a athletic interests team instead of the academic bowl, but as you can imagine, these expectations only grew as my friend and I got older. By the time my friend and I were going off to school, my parents expected us to be many steps down the path towards a highly successful professional job, particularally one in science or engineering, then personally, I provided in to their demands and became a scientist. My sister, however, was insistent that she wanted to be an Heating and Air Conditioning serviceman, but she had been obsessed with air quality control appliances from an early age and was seriously mechanically minded. She took enjoyable joy in disassembling our furnace and a/c unit and putting them back together since she was a little kid. Most parents would find this natural air quality control efficiency seriously impressive, but my parents thought that it was shameful. They did not want my sibling to work in manual labor, even if it was a skilled trade like the heating and cooling industry. Well, she found a way around that. My sister ultimately went to school and became seriously specialized in biomedical research ventilation and air quality control, rather than plain old residential furnace repair, however now, she works in a better lab than I do, and she makes three times as much.
