One of my best friends has been going through an extremely difficult time in her life.
I have been trying to support her as best as possible, but it can be extremely hard to make any positive difference when there is such an overwhelming amount of chaos going on around her.
The poor woman is trying to get a divorce and sell her house without going completely bankrupt. Unfortunately, it feels like there is constantly a new home repair that needs to be taken care of. Most recently, she has been freaking out about the indoor air temperature control system which apparently needs a full replacement. For many years her Heating, Cooling, and Air Quality Control devices did not receive the professional Services that they required. Now, she is trying to figure out if the furnace, air conditioning unit, air duct work, and thermostat can be salvaged at all. The problem is, many of the devices have accrued very dangerous problems that would require a lot of money to repair. At the same time, they have been gathering and insane amount of pet hair throughout the entire heating, cooling, and air quality control system without any of those professional cleaning appointments. I don’t know if she ever changed her air filter, so the animal fur got backed up through the entire indoor air handling system over the years. The heating, cooling, and air quality control technician who inspected her HVAC system recently gave a very dire reply – you have to replace all of the heating and cooling devices, because they are packed to the brim with animal hair. Who knew, with all the hot and cold relationships around here, somehow her pets would be the downfall of this HVAC.
