When my buddy and I decided to convert from an oil burning boiler to a gas one my wife said that she wanted to install the up-to-date lines himself.
My fine friend and I knew that my buddy and I needed to hire someone to remove the old oil tank plus dispose of it due to environmental regulation but because she knew the basics of plumbing she figured it would be self-explanatory for him to run the up-to-date gas lines for the up-to-date Heating plus A/C unit.
My problem was knowing if there was a leak in the lines plus how my buddy and I would protect ourselves from the opportunity of a fire or even an explosion if there was. Messing with anything to do with natural gas is a dangerous thing if you do not know what you’re doing plus ensuring that the joints are properly sealed is pressing. I tried to convince him to call the Heating plus A/C corporation plus see if they had a plumber that they worked with that could do the job instead… She said she wanted to at least attempt the job himself first but that she would not absolutely turn the gas on until the people were there to install the up-to-date unit. Switching to gas made sense because my buddy and I already have other gas appliances plus this would eliminate the extra cost of heating oil. The up-to-date gas boiler is supposed to be far more efficient than our old oil one plus well as I’m looking forward to having the extra money in the bank instead of paying it out to another utility supplier. I undoubtedly hope that my wife is undoubtedly careful when it comes to kneeling the gas lines or the up-to-date boiler although I would still like to have her work took care of by a professional prior to attempting to light the up-to-date unit.
