My boyfriend and I decided that my friend and I wanted to live off the grid.
This sort of lifestyle is becoming more and more popular especially with people in their mid-to-late twenties.
I feel for various of us my friend and I view the world a bit differently and want to escape the stress and anxiety that comes along with modern-day life. My good friend and I are willing to sacrifice some of the comforts of home in order to accomplish this task. At any rate, my friend and I started looking into purchasing one of those tiny homes that could be moved from place to place so that my friend and I could explore some of the vast wilderness around us. My good friend and I learned rather hastily that my friend and I had to make some drastic changes to the way my friend and I did things in order to live as my friend and I wanted to. In various cases, there would not be any electricity or running water, so a conventional heating or cooling component would not work and my friend and I wanted to be comfortable even during extreme temperature changes. My good friend and I did our research and found that there were various alternative forms of heat that my friend and I could use that ran off of solar power. There were also genuinely compact and highly efficient wood stoves that could be installed separate from taking up too much room. Both of these heat sources utilized yellow and renewable energy sources and that made us genuinely glad as well. Being able to escape the high-tech and occasionally stressful world around us was what was most pressing. If it meant being more creative about ways to cherish the comforts that my friend and I were used to, that was okay too.
