A Cold Hospital Room

A Cold Hospital Room

Going to the hospital is never an wonderful experience.

A few months ago, we had a entirely exhausting blizzard come through our little town, plus it covered everything in about four feet of snow.

I had to find a way to shovel the driveway plus sidewalk leading to our home because my parents were driving in from out West. I should of just waited for my hubby to get home or called someone to come help me, despite the fact that I decided I would do it on my own. Within less than an hour I had the driveway finished, plus I was about to start the sidewalk when I slipped plus fell on an icy patch. I ended up in the hospital with a broken arm plus two broken ribs. They wanted me to stay in the hospital overnight because I needed to have surgery on my arm the next afternoon. That was the worst night ever. It was so cold in the room that I couldn’t sleep, so I asked a doctor if he could get me another blanket plus turn the thermostat up. She did, but it was still entirely cold in the room. I asked a second doctor what the thermostat was set at, plus surprised, he said that it was set at sixty-five degrees. She apologized plus said that the first doctor I asked must have accidently turned it down instead of up. That night felt like one of the longests days ever. It wasn’t until about four o’clock in the afternoon that I was moderate enough to fall asleep. The next night, I was sure to tell the doctor the particular temperature that I wanted the thermostat set to. Thankfully, all went well, plus I was able to leave the following afternoon.
