I’ve never in my life been a very jealous person.

I’m quite content with what I’ve managed to do for myself. That’s why I was a bit of a surprise the other day when I went to my friend’s house for the first time, and experienced envy. I don’t think I’ve ever felt so green before. I was completely overwhelmed by what an amazing place she had gotten for herself. I started spinning my wheels, wondering why I hadn’t done something similar in my own life. Her house is set out in the woods a ways away from the road. She has a beautiful view of the woods. She has plenty of natural light in her house, and a giant open floor plan. What was most jealousy inspiring, was her amazing HVAC system. I know that sounds crazy. We were in her home talking for a long time when I realized that I had been feeling extremely comfortable and hadn’t even needed to put on the sweater that I brought with. Normally I’m always cold. There was high quality, perfectly tempered air in the house, and I couldn’t get over it. It felt as though there was just a warm summer breeze blowing through her home and tire time we were chatting. As I concentrated on the delightful sensation of her indoor air, I looked around and realized that none of the windows were open. In fact, there was high quality air streaming through all of her are events. This was treated indoor air from her HVAC system. When I asked her what was going on with her air temperature control setup, she casually mentioned that she had invested in the most high-tech and energy efficient Heating and Cooling equipment on the market. I thought about my own sad AC window unit, and started to get down on myself.
