I was really shocked a few months ago when I started looking around my area and realized that there were still a few affordable properties on the market. It really blew me away because most of the homes around here are worth 400,000 dollars… Which is way more than I’m going to be able to afford in this lifetime. What I started looking around the internet I realized that there were a few properties that hadn’t been updated yet. They were listed for somewhere around $150,000. Putting on my thinking cap, I started realizing that this might be a possibility. One home in particular really blew me away. It had a brand new HVAC system installed which was really important to me. I know the importance of having high quality air in your indoor living space. I also know how expensive it can be if you have to replace your heating and cooling equipment down the road. I wanted to make sure I started with the best air temperature control equipment possible. I was even more enamored with the small sunroom that was connected to the home. I always wanted to have a sunroom to do my work in. The only problem with this attached room was the air temperature in the middle of the afternoon. It’s pretty hard to work productively on a computer when you’re sweating on to the keyboard. With the sun beating in the air temperature easily reach 90 degrees every afternoon. I wasn’t sure what to do at first, so I called out my local HVAC technician. When he arrives, he told me that it wouldn’t be difficult to add an expanse of air ducting to connect to the sunroom to my central cooling system. Within a week I had fresh, cool air flowing into my son room and I’m even more in love with my home that ever. I can’t wait to see those property values go up.
