When I first moved into this house, I knew that they were going to be upgrades to invest in.
Immediately, we needed to fix the roof, re-insulate to the attic, and close up the windows and doors tighter.
We could tell that there was poor Indoor Air Temperature Control because every room had a different air quality. There were hot and cold air patches all over the house. Before making the purchase, we were sure to set aside plenty of money to invest in a brand new heating and cooling system down the line. We weren’t sure when the new HVAC equipment could be installed, but we weren’t going to waste money paying the utility company for subpar indoor air temperature control. A few months into the home renovation, we decided it was time to invest in our ventilation plan. We had a brand new forced air furnace, modern central air conditioning system, and high tech smart thermostat installed in the home, and patted ourselves on the back for making such wise decisions. Well, there’s one thing we certainly hadn’t considered before installing the smart thermostat right next to the front hallway. We had just laid down brand new carpeting in that space, without considering how the thermostat would impact our fluffy floorcovering. Now, we have a nasty, brown, worn out patch of brand new carpeting in the front hallway just below the thermostat. All of our indoor air temperature adjustments on the brand new air quality equipment has quickly ruined the flooring upgrade we already paid for. We really need to replace the floors again and strictly utilize the smart thermostat app.
