When I first transferred into my 4-year University to pursue my bachelor degree in animal science, I was pretty shocked that faculty right away started trying to deter us from completing our degree program.
The teachers right away were telling us how tough the work was and how much student debt you would acquire along the way.
Personally, I thought that they were trying to push us into their own identifiable realms of research, so I didn’t pay much attention to all of their warnings. In hindsight, I wish that I had taken them more seriously right at the beginning. I did complete my degree and I went on to become a full-fledged veterinarian! Let me tell you, it was a big mistake. After five years I quit the industry and went back to college. This time, I purchased a basic Heating and Cooling certification from my local trade college. The air quality and ventilation certification only took me 18 months to complete. In contrast, my Veterinary degree took 10 years from my life. My brand current HVAC specialist certification qualified me to right away start working at any reputable ventilation specialist and cooling dealer in town. On the other hand, I still had to find years of internships before getting a task out of vet college. These days, I travel all over the county and help people 2 right away solve their indoor air quality problems. People are regularly glad to see me and are satisfied with the HVAC repairs that I complete for them. There are never any emotional days or times to console my clients. With my HVAC certification, I finally make a steady paycheck and feel like I’m entirely helping people. I’ll take HVAC over Veterinary labor any day.
