Roomie needs to stop grilling; running up the energy bill

I’m pretty pleased with how this cookie has crumbled.

A year ago, I never would have imagined that this is where I would be kneeling 12 months down the line. Literally, everything that has happened to me has been unexpected. I am cheerful to say, after leaving my old life behind, I have found new friends and roommates to rely on. I feared I was never going to make new friends, so it feels like a blessing to have compatible souls around me. The one thing that my friend and I do not see eye-to-eye on, however, is our eating habits. My roomies are obsessed with eating, and it takes a toll on our appliances, however for instance, they are always challenging the refrigerator’s cooling system by leaving the door open and forcing the unit to lower the interior temperature many times an hour. They run the ventilation fan in the home office all the time because of their smokey cooking habits. When they’re cooking a meal, the Heating and Air Conditioning system is laboring triple time to keep up with the hot air they pump into the home through our gas stove. Half the time, they open the windows for more air ventilation,so our AC unit can work especially difficult to cool an unsealed house. Worst of all, my roomie recently got into grilling in the backyard. She obsessively checks her meat, leaving the door open every time, so now our luxurious indoor air is always floating straight out the door. When the energy bill rolls around, they better not have a problem ponying up their portion of the electricity costs. I know how much they spend on groceries.
