Air ducts were patched with cardboard and super glue

When I moved into this home I immediately knew that something was wrong.

It took me a while to figure out exactly what it was, but once I made the discovery, there was no going back, however since the first night that I moved in here, I knew that the indoor air temperature and air quality seemed off.

All afternoon and night, the indoor air temperature was fluctuating from hot and cold temperatures. It felt like there were drafts in every room, although I knew for a fact that the home was well sealed. I had a full house inspection, and the corporation had insisted that my insulation and sealing were in seriously nice condition. Therefore, I had no idea what was going on with my indoor air quality on such a respected basis. The only thing I knew for a fact was how luxurious my bi-weekly energy bill turned out every time. It seems like no matter how much or how little I used the Heating and Air Conditioning system, I was still paying the same amount for my electricity bill each month. I finally got exasperated one afternoon and called out a heating and cooling serviceman to investigate the mystery of my terrible indoor air. That’s when I found out the cause of all of my temperature problems and had a new problem to deal with – a full air duct updatement. When the Heating and Air Conditioning serviceman arrived at my home she immediately asked if she could inspect the HVAC duct. Apparently, residing in an older house means that you have an increased susceptibility to broken air ducts. It didn’t take him more than two minutes to discover and diagnose my air quality conundrum; the air ducts were literally held together with cardboard and super glue. I should have hired this Heating and Air Conditioning worker instead of the house inspector.
