Roomie needs to stop grilling; running up the energy bill

I’m pretty content with how this cookie has crumbled.

A year ago, I never would have imagined that this is where I would be sitting 12 months down the line.

Literally, everything that has happened to me has been unexpected. I’m cheerful to say, after leaving my outdated life behind, I have found new friends plus roommates to rely on. I feared I was never going to make new friends, so it feels like a blessing to have compatible souls around me. The one thing that my friend and I do not see eye-to-eye on, however, is our eating habits. My roomies are obsessed with eating, plus it takes a toll on our appliances. For instance, they are always challenging the refrigerator’s cooling system by leaving the door open plus forcing the device to lower the interior temperature various times an hour. They run the ventilation fan in the entryway all the time because of their smokey cooking habits. When they’re cooking a meal, the Heating & A/C system is working triple time to keep up with the sizzling air they pump into the household through our gas stove. Half the time, they open the windows for more air ventilation,so our AC unit can work especially strenuous to cool an unsealed house. Worst of all, my roomie recently got into grilling in the backyard. He obsessively checks his meat, leaving the door open every time, so now our costly indoor air is always floating straight out the door. When the energy bill rolls around, they better not have a problem ponying up their portion of the electricity costs. I know how much they spend on groceries.
