I absolutely love going and staying with my friends whenever I get the chance.
I’m not a big fan of being in one place all the time and I really require changes of scenery in order for my brain to work right.
I get trapped in my own thoughts and can’t break loose from my cognitive patterns if I am seeing the same stimulation everyday. That being said, I have a few friends who are extremely difficult to go visit for any amount of time. This is because their house is always completely different every time I stop by. One day they will have the heating system cranked up to level 11, so I’m sweating through my shirt as I try to visit. And the next day the air conditioning system will be blasting, so I am covering myself with heavy blankets in the middle of summer time. I never know what they’re going to be doing with their indoor air temperature control system or how I should prepare myself. I end up carrying around a bunch of extra layers of clothing, so I’m prepared for whatever settings they may have engaged on their temperature control system. Sometimes I wonder how their Heating and Cooling devices haven’t completely broken down by now. Over the course of a single visit, it seems likely that any of the expensive indoor temperature control units could spontaneously combust. The funniest part is the strange looks my friends give me when I arrive at their house with several suitcases of temperature controlling clothing. They always comment on how high maintenance I am. The truth is, it’s their poor heating, cooling, and air quality control system that requires a lot of maintenance.
