Something I’ve learned somewhat recently in life is, “you need to be careful who you listen to.” For me, personally, it’s charming to hear other people’s opinions and trust them as enjoyable information.
The truth is, a lot of people talk out their butts and have no clue what they’re saying… however they’ll say it with confidence, anyways.
This is the struggle I’ve had to accept when it comes to multiple of my friends. I can trust and respect their opinions in certain areas of life, however truth be told… there are a lot of things that they simply don’t know about. They’ll try to sell me on some idea and I’ll begin to know them, which leads to a lot of mistakes. This has actually been the case with the HVAC system that I inherited when I purchased this house. It was over 15 years old when I first saw the forced air furnace and central A/C system. For some reason, I listened to a pal of mine when she said the central heating and cooling devices would last for another 15. Instead, there have been nothing however challenges with this damn air quality control setup. Every time my indoor air temperature can’t be controlled, my friend told me to just have it repaired and I found myself calling a local heating and cooling service shop. Frustratingly, they couldn’t seem to service my HVAC concerns either. I hired them because my friend commanded them… however later I heard that this dealership has the worst reputation in town. It took a long time for me to realize, my acquaintance just doesn’t know what he’s saying about heating and cooling devices.
