When I was growing up I liked to spend a lot of time with my dad enjoying him do house repairs and repair. It was a great way to get to know him better and learn how to take care of the household myself one day; One of the things I’m in charge of is taking care of the filter changes for our HVAC system. I always make sure to purchase filters when I go to the store and that way we always have a backup. I changed the filter out in just 2 months at all and already the smart control component is telling me that I need to do that again. The control component is great because it monitors the system’s performance and allows us to log on and adjust the temperature settings even while we are away. I thought something may have gone wrong with the control component because there was no way I would need a new filter just two months after changing it. I went to check it and sure enough the filter was honestly filthy. I tried to figure out why it would have become so clogged so hastily and went over my head about everything that we have been doing in the household during the last couple of months. I then started thinking about my partner’s newest interest that involved making plaster molds and selling them at a local market, and because the weather was cold, he had been working in the spare bedroom and the only thing I could feel of was the dust from the project was being sucked into the HVAC system. I asked him to make sure that the air vent was closed when he was there working and told him he could use a portable heater if needed instead. The filters on the HVAC system are particularly overpriced and it was chopping into the profits from his little projects anyway.
